While this game isn't bad it is very simplistic at it's current stage. You do have a functioning game engine, however this type of puzzle is quite common. How about adding power ups or "specialized" pressure plates that change how the game is played (e.g. have a plate that inverts controls or teleports the player).
Hopefully the final version of this game has more content in it.
I do agree with you on the variation to make the game more challenging. I am in the process of adding features and it will be really cool if you can try it once it sis published. Cheers!
While I get that this game is meant mostly to be an intro to a larger game, there isn't enough here to judge. The music is good and the controls work and I can see some creativity in the map (I did like the "secret area" idea), but this style of game has been done quite a bit and I don't think that there is anything unique here to differentiate it from any other platformer.
I understand, for now I don't plan to do anything big with this game, the reason why it was made is... I was bored.
Super creative, though I found the camera wiggling around to be distracting whenever I was making fast movements.
